April 22nd is Earth Day!
March 29th, 2010 at 8:39 AMEarth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. To me it’s a very special day since I enjoy all that nature has to give. Not to mention that all my inspiration for my designs come from mother earth. They usually have something natural in them like an animal or a flower. Besides designing and working on Zazzle, I enjoy visiting the National Parks or just simply go to the beach with my husband. Of course you want to be able to enjoy all this beauty without any trash around. Especially plastics are very hard to get rid of. That’s why we started using re-usable bags to do all of our shopping. It was always a struggle to keep up with hundreds of plastic bags we used to collect from all of our shopping trips. We just didn’t want to throw them away so we usually recycled them. Until one day our local supermarket was giving away re-usable shopping bags for free! We were sold on the idea! Just keep them in the trunk of your car so you always have them around. I know in Europe they don’t hand out any plastic bags at all. And if they do, they charge for it! That’s the way it should be! Bye bye to all that plastic clutter!
